If the passenger's journey involves an ultimate destination or stop in a country other than the country of departure, the Warsaw Convention may be applicable and the Convention governs, and in most cases limits, the liability of carriers for death or personal injury. In respect of loss of or damage to baggage, the Warsaw Convention or the Montreal Convention may be applicable. See also the notice headed "Conditions of Contract", "Advice to International Passengers on Limitation of Liability" and "Notice of Baggage Liability Limitations" available upon request from Tara Airlines. Where this coupon is issued for transportation or services other than air travel, specific terms and conditions may apply. These terms and conditions may be included in the ticket set or may be obtained from the issuing company or agent.
Carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage to any person who has acquired a ticket in violation of applicable law or carrier’s tariffs, rules or regulations.
When you book with Tara Airlines, you agree to the Terms and Conditions stated here. Please ensure that you read them. If you do not understand the Terms and Conditions stated here, please speak to a Tara Airlines representative.
CONTRACT & CONFIRMATION
Tara Airlines will accept your booking once your booking has been paid in full and a confirmation invoice/e-ticket has been sent. It is only then that a contract exists. Telephone quotes are not guaranteed until the booking has been paid in full.
While Tara Airlines strives to maintain accurate information, occasionally errors may occur. Should there be an obvious error (i.e. an incorrect price), we will issue a new invoice/e-ticket and will not be bound by the price quoted on the incorrect invoice/e-ticket. It is important that you check all the details shown on the confirmation invoice/e-ticket carefully to ensure they are correct as this forms the basis of the contract. Any discrepancies should be brought to Tara Airlines attention within 24 hours of issue, otherwise the details shown on the confirmation invoice will be presumed to be correct.
Once your booking has been confirmed, Tara Airlines will send your confirmation invoice/e-ticket within 2 business days after receiving your reservation (if you have entered an email address), or 14 days (if no email address has been provided). If you have not received your invoice/e-ticket and these aforementioned time allowances have passed, please contact Tara Airlines to ensure that your booking has been processed.
BAGGAGE
Each passenger (excluding infants without seats) is allowed checked baggage up to but not exceeding 20kg (44lbs) in total per person for economy seating and 30kg (66lbs) in total per person for Economy - Premium Service Supplement seating. Please note that any one piece of checked baggage can not exceed 32kg (70 lbs). You may also carry onboard one standard article with a maximum weight of 5kg (11lbs) and with maximum dimensions of 23cm x 41cm x 51cm (9"x 16" x 20") and one personal or business article such as a purse, laptop or briefcase, etc. Any items exceeding these limits will be subject to applicable excess baggage charges.
Tara Airlines does not check baggage to other carriers, nor do we accept baggage from other carriers. You must collect all baggage upon arrival at your destination or at your connecting point and recheck it as required.
Medication, perishables, valuables, jewelry, business documents, samples, money, securities, negotiable papers, electronic equipment, cameras, and fragile articles must be packed in your carry-on baggage, as Tara Airlines will not be responsible for their loss, damage, or delay.
Tara Airlines does not accept baggage claims for damage due to normal wear and tear (missing or damaged straps, scratches, nicks, wheels, locks, zipper damage, scuffs, dents, soiling etc…) or manufacturer's defects. In the event of loss, damage, or delay of a piece of checked luggage it is important that a Tara Airlines representative is contacted upon arrival at the airport in order for us to complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR). The complaint must be made in writing to the carrier forthwith after discovery of the damage or delay and, at the latest, within 7 days of arrival. In the case of a baggage delay, the complaint must be made in writing within 21 days from the date the baggage was returned or delivered to the passenger.
Tara Airlines liability for loss, damage or delay to your baggage is limited by the Warsaw Convention or the Montreal Convention. Special rules may apply to fragile, valuable or perishable articles. Therefore, you may not be able to recover from Tara Airlines the full value of your bags and their contents if they are lost or damaged.
DANGEROUS ARTICLES IN BAGGAGE
Dangerous Goods are articles or substances that are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property, or the environment when they are transported. Passengers are not permitted to transport dangerous goods on board an aircraft in their carry-on or checked baggage. For examples of dangerous goods please click here.
SCHEDULES AND FLIGHT DELAYS
Times displayed on website, brochure or elsewhere are not guaranteed and are not a part of the contractual obligation. Tara Airlines reserves the right to substitute alternate carriers, aircraft types, and may add or exclude en route stops at our discretion without notice. Schedules are subject to change without notice. Tara Airlines is not responsible for passengers making connections Passengers are responsible for verifying their flight departure times 24 hours prior. Tara Airlines does not offer compensation for inconvenience or loss of personal/business time caused by schedule changes or flight delays. Similarly, it is not possible to obtain refunds for any unused accommodation or facilities in the event of an extended delay.
ADVANCED SEATING
Advance seat assignments can not be guaranteed and may change without notice. Emergency seating is restricted to able bodied persons between 20-65 years of age. Please note that persons who are less than 20 years of age or older than 65 years of age, persons with a visual or hearing impairment, persons with a disability or those traveling with infant(s) cannot occupy these seats. If you book a restricted Emergency seat and do not meet the requirements under Transport Canada regulations at your time of travel, you will be re-seated and the refund for the cost of pre reserving your seat will not be issued.
CHECK-IN
In order to expedite check-in, passengers must have all the necessary travel documentation ready for presentation. All passengers must be present at time of check-in. Passengers should ensure they provide themselves sufficient time for check-in and security formalities. Those passengers travelling with infants, unaccompanied minors and passengers requiring special assistance are advised to check-in early. Seats will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis unless you have pre-assigned your seat. Please note that Tara Airlines reserves the right to deny boarding to passengers arriving less than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The check-in counter opens 3 hours prior to departure for flights to the Caribbean and USA, and 4 hours prior for Trans Atlantic flights.
PRICING POLICY
Tara Airlines reserve the right to increase or decrease our prices at any time. Fares do not include applicable taxes or aviation and security fees. Once booked, the price of your flight stated on the final invoice will not change regardless of whether the cost of your flight increases or decreases. Once a booking is made all fares, taxes, and fees paid are non-refundable.
PAYMENT
To confirm a booking, you must pay the amount of your booking in full, including all charges for seat selection and insurance premiums.
TAXES, FEES AND CHARGES
All applicable taxes, fees and charges imposed by government, airports or other authorities will be charged to you. You will be advised of the taxes, fees and charges when you make your booking. If there is a tax, fee or charge imposed or increased after you make your booking you will be responsible for paying it. A charge of 2.25% per reservation will be applied for all credit card and Visa Debit card bookings.
CURRENCY
All payments are payable in the currency indicated by our brochure, website or reservation agents. Tara Airlines reserves the right to accept payments in currencies other than those indicated at our discretion.
CHANGES
If you wish to change your booking details after we have confirmed your flight, we will do our best to assist you. Changes to your confirmed ticket can be made subject to the following change fees:

In addition to the change fee, the customer will also be charged any increase in the ticket price or taxes. No refund will be provided if the cost of your replacement ticket has gone down as tickets are non-refundable. If you have a return ticket the timeline for changes will be calculated from each sector’s departure date. The amendment and administration fees will be charged in the currency in which the booking was made and must be paid at the time of the change.
Name changes are allowed up to 48 hours prior to departure and will be charged a fee of $200/£100/€140 per name change. All tickets are non-refundable outside of cancellation net refunds. Administration fees are due at the time of the change and are non-refundable.
CANCELLATION WITHOUT INSURANCE COVERAGE
If you want to cancel your flight, please notify Tara Airlines as soon as possible. Except in cases of non-payment, Tara Airlines will not cancel a reservation until we receive confirmation from the booked passenger or from the lead passenger.
If you cancel your flight, you will receive a refund of your total ticket cost less the cancellation penalties listed in the cancellation chart below, which includes but is not limited to: seat cost; seat selection and premium service supplement; all airport fees; and all taxes paid such as ATSC and APD (administration fees and Insurance Premiums are non-refundable.) The total cancellation penalty imposed will depend upon the notice period you provide. For return and multi city tickets cancellations penalties will be calculated from the departure date of your confirmed outbound ticket portion*. For one way tickets cancellation penalties will be calculated from your confirmed departure date. The cancellation penalty is as low as 50% of the total cost and as high as 100% of the total cost.

*Warning: If you are unsure of your return date at the time of your booking, we would recommend that you purchase two one way flights to allow more flexibility to your travel plans.
Tara reserves the right to cancel your reservation in the event you fail to fulfill your obligations of the fare type of your reservation, such as: timely payment of the total cost; having appropriate travel documents at boarding; being present at the boarding gate at the time required. In the event that Tara cancels your reservation under the circumstances listed above cancellation penalties will apply without further recourse for a changes or refunds.
CANCELLATION WITH INSURANCE/PROTECTION
Residents of Canada
If you have purchased Tara Cancellation Protection or Tara Combination Insurance, you may cancel for a reason covered under the Cancellation Protection Policy. To make a claim, you must inform Tara Airlines in writing as soon as possible. Your booking will be refunded once the applicable proof has been received (such as doctor’s note, record of employment, etc). The proof required varies upon the reason for cancellation. Please note that if you have Cancellation Protection and you have to cancel for a reason not covered by the Protection, then you will be subject to the cancellation penalties listed under CANCELLATION WITHOUT INSURANCE.
UK Residents
If you have purchased Tara Cancellation Protection, you may cancel for a reason covered under The Cancellation Protection Policy. To make a claim, you must inform Tara Airlines in writing as soon as possible. Your booking will be refunded less the cost of the insurance, any administration or credit card fees once the applicable proof has been received (such as doctor’s certificate, record of employment etyc). The proof required varies upon the reason for cancellation. Please note that if you have Cancellation Protection and you have to cancel for a reason not covered by the policy or after the start of your trip, then you will be subject to the cancellation penalties listed under CANCELLATION WITHOUT INSURANCE.
If you have purchased Single Trip or an Annual Policy Insurance, you must advise Tara Airlines as soon as possible in writing. Once we receive your cancellation, we will forward confirmation of your cancellation and losses to you. You must also contact the insurance company and they will forward a claims form. This should be completed and returned to them with all the documents they request for your claim to be considered. Any refund will be mailed to you directly from the insurance claims department.
INSURANCE/CANCELLATION PROTECTION
Tara Airlines recommends that you purchase travel insurance/cancellation protection. It is extremely important that all flight makers have travel insurance/cancellation protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We strongly recommend that you purchase the flight insurance offered by Tara Airlines. Tara Cancellation Protection must be purchased at the time of booking.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Please advise Tara Airlines or your tour operator, at the time of booking, of any special flights requirements that you may have. We will do our utmost to accommodate your requests; however, we cannot guarantee your request and they do not make up any part of our contractual obligation.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is the passengers responsibility to obtain all relevant valid travel documentation (including travel visas). Tara Airlines is not responsible for travel missed due to lack of or improper documentation. No refund will be issued to passengers travelling with insufficient travel documentation. Tara Airlines reserves the right to cancel a passenger booking without refund if he/she has been denied entry into a country. Any passenger(s) who choose not to travel because one of their travelling companions has been denied entry or hold insufficient documentation will have their booking cancelled and are not entitled to a refund.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT AND SANCTIONS
Tara Airlines will seek recovery of any and all costs resulting from the prohibited conduct of a passenger and will seek compensation from any passenger who through a deliberate act would delay our flights. A further sanction banning a passenger from future travel with Tara Airlines may also be imposed on any or all passenger(s) who willfully disrupt the normal operation of a flight.
INTERPRETATION OF CONTRACT
This contract, regardless of where it is performed, shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws with the laws of England and international conventions and agreements contained herein. No agent, servant or representative of Tara Airlines has authority to alter, modify or waive any provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
